In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian developers showed some of their 'Made-in-Malaysia' lifestyle Windows 8 applications for the Windows store.
Speaking on 20 November 2012, Microsoft Malaysia director, developer and platform evangelism, Dinesh Nair, said some of the local applications ranged from breaking news updates and booking flight tickets to searching for properties and booking a taxi, including among other features and innovations, new applications from The Star Online, Malaysiakini, myStarjob.com, AirAsia, Sunway Group, iProperty, Resorts World Genting, MYDIN, DiGi, Yeylol, Soft Space and MyTeksi..
